Buying Skincare Products During Quarantine

where to buy skincare products during quarantine

My skincare products running out is one thing that stresses me out during this time of quarantine. We had bought grocery items and other necessities at a mall right after the announcement that our area will be on quarantine but I never thought of restocking my skincare products which are readily available in that mall like the Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash and it’s too late.

After realizing that, I went on a convenience store near our place because the last time I checked, it was available there but a lot pricier. At that time, I don’t mind the price. I need to restock that product as soon as possible and I would rather wash my face with just water than using foam cleansers or bar soaps that will just ruin my skin and will make me break out.

Unfortunately, the foam cleanser I was looking for was not in there. From that, I decided to order online. However, this product is hard to find from online shops like from Shopee. Aside from that, it only costs ₱176.00 (which is around 3$ to 4$) and it will be ridiculous to buy it online and a waste of money at the same time because shipping fee will cost you almost as much as that.

So I took this opportunity to try another cleanser to review for you guys. I ordered CosRx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and see if this product will work on my acne prone and oily skin. I also bought Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner because I’m running out of this toner.

I had been using this cleanser before but it did not work for me. Checking on its ingredient list, it is a good product for acne prone and oily skin. So maybe, the other products that I was using together with this are what broke me out which can be the Banila Co cleansing balm. Cleansing balms don’t work for everyone. Cleansing balms have oils in it which can clog pores and my skin can’t just tolerate too much of it.

I ordered these skincare products from ShopwithBonita on Shopee. Her store sells Korean skincare products at the lowest price. The whole thing, plus the shipping fee, only cost me ₱897. I can still assure you that her products are authentic.

Since we are on quarantine, I am expecting a delay in shipping this product. However, I received my order 2 days after placing it which is pretty fast. Shopee never failed to satisfy me with their service.

The products are covered in bubble wraps. However, I noticed that the products were hot which means they were exposed to heat which can affect the effectiveness of the products. Anyway, I hope that it was only exposed for a short period of time.

I was expecting freebies because when I order skincare products from Shopee, I always receive my products with freebies or product samples with it but this time, I did not. But it makes me happy that I only spent a total of ₱897 for these two products. That gel cleanser from CosRx usually costs around ₱600 but I got mine for only ₱323 and the toner usually costs around ₱1000 but I got mine for only ₱494 which is not even half the usual price!

For preventive measures against COVID19, I disinfected the plastic wrap, the bubble wrap, and the products with alcohol.

When ordering skincare products from Shopee, beware of fake products. Visit the shops of these sellers, and look for feedbacks and reviews from their recent buyers. In this way, you can ensure the authenticity of the products that they are selling and the way they handle their customers

However, not all skincare products are on Shopee. You can try Althea KoreaBeautyMNL, or Go Bloom & Glow which have a wider range of skincare products. I only prefer Shopee because skincare products here are way cheaper and the shipping process is a lot faster.
